Educational Resources Unlimited (ERU) is thrilled to welcome Nick Lodato as an associate of the ERU team. Based on the West Coast, Nick is a seasoned therapist with a diverse background in addiction recovery and mental health.

“I am excited for Nick to bring his clinical expertise and passion for helping families navigate their recovery journey,” said Lauren Seltzer, owner of ERU. “Nick’s dynamic approach will complement the relationship-focused work we strive to offer at ERU.

Nick began his career at Refuge Recovery and Authentic Recovery Center, progressing to become a Primary Therapist at Key Healthcare and later, Executive Director. Specializing in addiction, he adopts an alternative approach that addresses root causes rather than solely focusing on substance use. Nick employs evidence-based therapies like ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and narrative therapy tailored to each client’s unique needs.

“I’m honored to join ERU—with Lauren’s emphasis on integrative health and wellness, mindfulness-based skills (DBT), and self-care, as well as family systems. I look forward to contributing to positive transformations and empowering individuals on their journey toward lasting change,” said Nick Lodato.

Nick deeply values diversity and inclusivity, offering support to individuals of all orientations, genders, and identities. Specializing in working with artists and creatives, Nick aids in achieving both personal and professional goals. His areas of expertise encompass addiction recovery, identity exploration, interpersonal issues, and overcoming creative blocks. Creating a safe, empathetic space is fundamental in Nick’s practice, encouraging vulnerability and connection.  ERU is dedicated to fostering meaningful partnerships through collaboration and shared expertise. “We are committed to engaging in thought-provoking discussions with colleagues,” said Lauren Seltzer, “exploring ways to collaborate more effectively, particularly in delivering innovative and ‘out-of-the-box’ approaches to better serve our clients.”
